Food

In most parts of the world, a special meal with no-meat is labeled "vegetarian". In India, by default every meal is vegetarian and a special meal with meat is labeled "non-veg". The uniquely Indian word "non-veg" refers to meat - the common "non-veg" options span poultry, lamb and sea-food. Beef and pork are not consumed much in India. However, in the truly Indian democratic way of "to-each-his-own", all types of meat are available in the market - you can buy any meat you want including beef and pork.
