Student Home-stay

Although not so common in India, we have arranged for some host families who would like to host an international student. Home-stay gives an international student an opportunity to interact with an Indian family and gain first hand experience of the rich Indian culture and heritage.

Although India is modernizing today, Indians still retain their cultural values. Indian culture has adapted itself to the advent of mass media, nuclear familial structure, consumerism life styles, etc. While they outwardly seem westernized, most Indian families deeply value their Indian cultural beliefs and customs. Discarding some old skin of outdated irrelevant practices, present day Indian families retain the quintessentially Indian cultural elements - of its heart and soul.

The option of home-stay may seem conservative or restrictive for many International students. We recommend this option to only those students who are very open minded and really flexible, willing to adapt to the Indian culture.
